We will be planning a visit to London to lobby Parliament for changes in the law on time limits in civil cases, which at the moment are very much against survivors of abuse/sexual assault. The provisional plan for the day is:

 Hand Petitions to 10 Downing Street
Press Conference
Meeting in the Houses of Parliament to which MP’s will be invited. Each Survivor Group will be given the opportunity to make a speech and put across their point of view.

We feel it is very important that all survivor groups unite to provide as much pressure on government to change the law on Time Limits. To read more about the campaign go to

Being a child where abuse becomes a way of life, or where people who were paid to care for you, instead chose to abuse you, inevitably leads to the destruction of innocence.

We support and empower both MALE and FEMALE survivors, who have suffered all types of child abuse.

It's hard to carry the legacy of your abuse alone, let us enable you to help yourself.

N.B. The term "non offending" relates to the fact that we choose NOT to work with “sex offenders.”

Fire in Ice 2005 is a Merseyside based self-help project for both male and female non offending adults, who have experienced childhood abuse and/or adult sexual assaults.

By the end of 1999, the police investigated 85 child care institutions, from around Merseyside, other agencies failed to fully understand the traumatic consequences to the individual who had experienced abuse when they had to give a detailed statement, and that's where Fire in Ice 2005 comes in, to help those affected by that failure, and to support those going through the same trauma.

Those who have not experienced abuse can only imagine what it feels like to experience total fear.

Survivors know that this fear is so strong that it can make you feel physically sick and empty inside or give you a rage that sometimes feels like it will spiral out of control.
